The Green Bay Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Here are five burning questions heading into this Week 1 divisional matchup.

Congratulations, everyone, we’ve just about made it! Week 1 of the NFL season is set to kick off Thursday night, and we are just a few short days away from the Green Bay Packers heading to U.S. Bank Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Each team is expected to compete for the NFC North crown once again, and the winner can get a leg up on what undoubtedly is going to be a tight divisional race. While I could draw out this intro, taking a closer look at each team’s offseason, I’m just thrilled to be getting back to football.

So let’s dive right into my five burning questions about the upcoming matchup, in which the answers will likely determine Sunday’s winner.

How will the Green Bay Packers RT hold up?

On what is a very stout offensive line overall for the Green Bay Packers, the right tackle position remains a big question mark. As of me writing this, we don’t know if Billy Turner is going to play or not, but even if he does – which I don’t think he will – many wonder how he will fare at right tackle given his struggles working in space.

Then when it comes to free-agent signee Rick Wagner, I’m not sure that anyone knows what to expect from him after coming off a down 2019 season and missing part of training camp with an injury.

In addition to Wagner and Turner, the Packers have other options such as Yosh Nijman; however, to put it simply, he’s not ready for live-action. Or they could move Elgton Jenkins over, which is something that when asked about, Matt LaFleur didn’t rule out. Regardless, leading up to the game, we just don’t know what to expect from this position.

On Wednesday, we learned that the Packers would be getting some reprieve as Danielle Hunter was ruled out for Sunday’s game, but they’ll still have to face Yannick Ngakoue.

While the offensive line typically flies under the radar during games, the right tackle position for Green Bay is absolutely worth keeping your eyes on.
