2021 three-star wide receiver Skyler Bell has the Wisconsin Football program in his final-5, and he has set a commitment date for August, 16th.

The 2021 Wisconsin Football recruiting class is on pace to be the best in program history since the online rankings era began. At the moment, with 15 hard commits, the Badgers’ upcoming class ranks 17th nationally and third in the Big Ten Conference. They also have five 4-star commitments, which ties a school record set by the 2020 class.

Now Wisconsin has another opportunity to add a new commitment to this already stout 2021 class and the first receiver as well. 3-star wideout Skyler Bell from Watertown, Connecticut, has the Badgers in his final-5 and has set a commitment date for August 16th.

Joining the Badgers in Bell’s final-5 are Iowa and Rutgers from the Big Ten, as well as West Virginia from the Big 12 and Virginia Tech from the ACC.

At 6’1″ – 185 pounds, Bell is 247Sports’ 118th ranked receiver in the 2021 class and the fifth-best receiver from the state of Connecticut. During his junior season at The Taft School, Bell would haul in 36 receptions for 549 yards with eight touchdowns.

As far as where the lead experts think that Bell will end up, Steve Wiltfong and Brian Dohn of 247Sports are predicting that he chooses the Hawkeyes. Four other experts that makeup 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions are also selecting Iowa.

Entering the 2020 season, Wisconsin has a few young receivers in A.J. Abbott, Stephan Bracey, and Chimere Dike, who could all see playing time this year. However, as I already mentioned, they are without a wide receiver commit in the 2021 class. So fingers crossed that Bell becomes the first.
