Green Bay Packers Land Rookie QB & a Familiar Face in ESPN Re-draft
By Paul Bretl
ESPN did a four-round re-draft with current NFL players. Here is who the Green Bay Packers selected.
Even without having to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, the month of June during the NFL offseason can be a bit of a down time in terms of news. The free agency frenzy is long gone and the draft is over a month old at this point, as we all just wait for training camps to begin.
However, without teams being able to hold rookie camps or mini-camps and not to mention that some team facilities are just now beginning to open, as far as NFL news goes, as you can imagine there isn’t a ton. Actually, there’s even less than what there usually is at this time of the year.
This means that sites have had to get creative and that is just what ESPN did on Monday.
To spark some discussion, they held a four-round re-draft of current NFL players. The draft order was the same as this year’s real NFL draft to start and then turned into the snake draft format for rounds two through four. This left the Green Bay Packers with picks 30, 35, 94, as well as 99, and the selections were made by ESPN Packers’ reporter, Rob Demovsky.
One other important note is that each team had to select a quarterback, a non-quarterback offensive player, a defensive player, and the fourth selection could be any position.
So with that in mind, let’s take a look at who Demovsky selected with each pick.
