The Green Bay Packers have five key free agents in 2021. Ranked from 5 to 1, here is how they should be prioritized when it comes to re-signing them.

The 2020 offseason is just winding down now that the NFL draft is complete, but it’s never too early to take a look ahead to the upcoming offseason. Especially when it comes to the Green Bay Packers who are going to have some difficult decisions to make.

During this year’s free agency period, we didn’t see the Packers make the same flashy signings that they did a year ago. Instead, they signed a few short-term deals that didn’t break the bank.

Now, there are two main reasons for this. One is because of the lucrative contracts that they handed out in 2019. And the second is if we look ahead to the 2021 offseason, Green Bay has five key free agents that they will have to either re-sign or let walk. So having as much freed up cap space as possible at that time is important.

This group of five that I’m referring to is Kevin King, David Bakhtiari, Aaron Jones, Corey Linsley, and Kenny Clark. As it currently stands, Spotrac has the Green Bay Packers with $33,926,584 in cap space available next season. Of course, this number will change, but the odds of Green Bay re-signing all five of these players are quite slim.

So taking into account their performances up to this point in their careers, along with the positions they play, as well as their age, I’ve ranked these players from 5 to 1 based on how they should be prioritized when it comes to re-signing them.
