The NFL schedules for the upcoming season have been released. Here is what 2020 looks like for the Green Bay Packers.

Well, the wait is over and you can stop refreshing Twitter constantly looking for the latest 2020 schedule leaks for the Green Bay Packers. Or maybe that was just me?

Although we already knew who Green Bay would be facing in 2020 and where the games would be taking place, what we didn’t know until was the order in which these games were going to be played. And of course, that can be a major factor in how a team’s season turns out.

However, just recently – as in a few minutes ago – Packers.com gave us the official schedule. So no more speculating or trying to identify whether or not a rumor is valid, we now know what Green Bay’s upcoming season will look like.

Week 1: at Minnesota

Week 2: vs. Detroit

Week 3: at New Orleans

Week 4: vs. Atlanta

Week 5: Bye

Week 6: at Tampa Bay

Week 7: at Houston

Week 8: vs. Minnesota

Week 9: at San Francisco

Week 10: vs. Jacksonville

Week 11: at Indianapolis

Week 12: vs. Chicago

Week 13: vs. Philadelphia

Week: 14: at Detroit

Week 15: vs. Carolina

Week 16: vs. Tennessee

Week 17: at Chicago

After looking this over briefly, I have a few initial thoughts:

  • Once again the Packers are going to have a challenging start to the season having to face two divisional opponents and New Orleans with two of the three coming on the road. Not to mention that Atlanta can’t be taken lightly either.
  • Week 17 on that Soldier Field turf. Gross. Let’s hope everyone stays healthy.
  • Last year Green Bay had to finish on the road, this year, four of their final six games will be at home.
  • Per usual, the Green Bay Packers will be featured fairly heavily in Primetime with 5 appearances.
  • The bye is a bit early in Week 5.
  • Only have back-to-back road games one time.
  • Rodgers vs. Brady in Week 6 should be a lot of fun.
  • And let’s hope for a better result in San Francisco this time.
