The Green Bay Packers are low on spendable cap space and the free-agent market has been picked over, but here are a few names that could still provide some help.

After making four big free agent signings last offseason while also having a 2021 free-agent class that includes David Bakhtiari, Kenny Clark, Aaron Jones, Corey Linsley, Kevin King, and Jammal Williams, the Green Bay Packers just aren’t in a position to make any splash signings this time around.

With not much spendable cap space to begin with, Green Bay has instead had to pursue middle of the road free agents that come with a low contract risk but high upside on the field if they can stay healthy and play up to their potential.

Of course up to this point, we’ve seen the Packers bring in Christian Kirksey, Rick Wagner, and Devin Funchess as outside signings. While also re-signing Marcedes Lewis, Will Redmond, and Tyler Ervin.

As it currently stands, Over The Cap has the Green Bay Packers with just over $12.6 million in available cap space remaining. However keep in mind that they need money for the upcoming draft class, in-season acquisitions, the practice squad, as well as the 52nd and 53rd players on the roster.

So just because they have $12.6 million in space, doesn’t mean that it is all available to use. Meaning, there is certainly the possibility that the Packers are done making free signings for the time being. With that said, there are still holes to fill and some moderately priced players still available that could help.

Even with the additions of Kirksey, Wagner, and Funchess, whether it be free agency or the draft, all three of those positions – linebacker, tackle, and receiver – should still be addressed. Meanwhile, Kenny Clark could still use some help inside, the cornerback room has some question marks, and adding another tight end to the mix wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

Although the free-agent market is looking a bit bare at this stage, here are some remaining free agents that could provide the Green Bay Packers with a boost in 2020.

As I mentioned previously, the Green Bay Packers could very well be done with free agency at this point or they could be waiting until after the draft to fill in any remaining holes. However, if that isn’t the case, these are few names to keep your eyes on.
