Wide Receiver (7)

Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Jake Kumerow, Trevor Davis, Equanimeous St. Brown & Allen Lazard

This was the toughest group yet. There were only three locks in Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Behind them, seven of the eight receivers currently on the roster have a case to be on the final 53. I ended up at these four for a few different reasons. I have been lower on Jake Kumerow than most through his two seasons in Green Bay. With his play and performance this offseason though, he has earned his spot.

Trevor Davis was my next choice. Outside of the top three at the position, Trevor Davis has been arguably the best receiver out there. He has looked better as a receiver now than at any point during his previous three seasons. After showing that his stinger was just a short-term injury and that he can add value as a returner, he makes the cut.

Equanimeous St. Brown makes the cut. After being viewed as a roster lock during the beginning of the offseason, his status came into question with the play of other wideouts. His high-ankle sprain didn’t help his status either. His upside should still earn him a spot though. Allen Lazard gets the final spot. His size and play-making ability would likely make him harder to sneak onto the practice squad. As the seventh receiver, he has a ton of upside.
