Kicker
This is one that some may not consider a battle, however, I do. While I do think Mason Crosby is the favorite to win, by no means do I think that it is a foregone conclusion that he will.
After a rough 2018 season where Crosby would miss a number of big kicks, the Green Bay Packers signed free agent Sam Ficken this offseason.
So far through Training Camp, for the most part it has been just Ficken getting reps since Crosby has been out with an injury. However, in the one practice that they did face-off, Ficken got the better of the veteran.

48❌ 48✅
51✅ 51✅
One would think that Crosby’s experience alone would be enough to win the job, but if the competition is close, Green Bay could go with the cheaper option in Ficken, and save some money by cutting Crosby.
According to Spotrac, Crosby is due $4.85 million this season. However, if the Green Bay Packers do cut him, it results in a dead cap hit of $1.25 million. Thus saving the Packers $3.6 million in cap space that could go towards extending the contracts of current players such as David Bakhtiari and Kenny Clark.
While it may seem like a long shot, we just saw Green Bay part ways with Mike Daniels for similar reasons.
