1. Aaron Rodgers to play

The whole season hinges on Aaron Rodgers and his ability to stay on the field. When he’s manning the Packers’ quarterback position, Green Bay is one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL. When he’s not, well, the Packers are lifeless.

Typically, a veteran and someone of Rodgers’ stature wouldn’t play in the second preseason game. They’d usually only play in the third game as a sort of dress rehearsal.

However, the situation appears to be different this season.

Rodgers has said he wants to play on Thursday night against the Steelers. It also appears McCarthy is going to allow this to happen. Rodgers likely wants to return to Lambeau Field where he hasn’t played in nearly a full calendar year. This rush of adrenaline could be exactly what Rodgers is looking for. Keep your eyes out as the game inches closer to see if this will actually come to fruition.
