2. Backup quarterback battle

The quarterback position is the premiere position in the NFL. With that, it’s no surprise the battle for the right to backup Aaron Rodgers has been one of the major battles in Packers’ camp thus far. It also helps that there aren’t many other major positional battles on the roster.

Brett Hundley got the start last week and fared pretty well. There were certainly some throws he would like back and his lack of awareness of the pressure around him continued to be an issue, but he had some good moments as well.

DeShone Kizer was the second quarterback off the bench and had his moments as well. He flashed his supreme athleticism and arm strength, but also has his own things to work on (footwork).

With both quarterbacks locked in a tight battle, the fight for the backup spot will continue throughout the rest of the preseason. At this point, it doesn’t look as if either player will be able to separate which means they both might end up on the final 53-man roster behind this man…
