4. Mike Budenholzer

Last year, if not beyond, the Bucks had the worst head coach in the entire NBA. The number of blunders their coaching staff made was straight laughable and was one of the biggest reasons why Milwaukee was considered one of the biggest disappointments in 2017-18.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

That should all change with the hiring of new head coach Mike Budenholzer. Budenholzer was allowed to leave the Atlanta Hawks this summer and Milwaukee capitalized.

Budenholzer was the head coach of the Hawks for five seasons, earning a 213-97 record. During that time, Atlanta had three winning seasons, including a 60-win campaign in 2014-15. Before joining the Hawks, he was an assistant under Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs for a number of years.

Budenholzer will bring an offense that features ball-movement to Milwaukee. That’s something different than they’ve experienced before. The defense should also be improved, but that’s because they really only have one way to go. Overall, it will be remarkable to see how far an adequate coach can take this Bucks’ team in 2018-19.
