Green Bay Packers: 5 bold predictions vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

2. DeShone Kizer is first quarterback off the bench

Brett Hundley got the start in Week 1 and fared pretty well. He got off to a great start, throwing for a touchdown on the first drive, but was inconsistent as the game went on. Overall, he finished 9-for-14 for 108 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

DeShone Kizer was the next quarterback off the bench. Kizer showed off his athleticism, using his legs to extend plays on multiple occasions. He ended 9-for-18 for 134 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. Even though he wasn’t overly impressive either, look for Kizer to get the start this Thursday.

Neither quarterback has separated themselves this summer, causing Mike McCarthy and the coaching staff more headaches than they initially thought. This battle will likely drag on into September, with neither quarterback being able to outduel the other. Thursday night is simply Kizer’s turn to show what he can do with the 1s.
