Milwaukee Bucks depth chart: Updated after 2018 NBA Draft
Starter: Khris Middleton
Second Unit: Tony Snell
Depth: Shabazz Muhammad
This position is in great shape with Middleton leading the way. Playing in all 82 games last year, Middleton was a 20 point man while shooting respectably from deep (especially late in the year), and was one of their go-to defenders. He should only get better as the number two option on offense.
Behind him, this will be a big year for Snell. He was very good in 2016 once he came over in a trade from Chicago, but he struggled last year with his confidence. It didn’t help that the old coaching staff had no idea what to do with him, fluctuating his playing time on a whim. If he gets consistent second unit minutes, he can provide lockdown defense and a sharp shooting stroke from the perimeter.
If Snell doesn’t find the consistency he had his first year as a Buck, Muhammad could get more opportunities. Brought in midway through last season, he showed that he can still be a dynamic scorer from midrange. He just needs work on his defense, but is a nice player to have on the end of the bench.
