The 2018 offseason has proved to be effective for every member of the NFC North, but who has benefited the most since the end of 2017?

It’s hard to argue that any team in the NFC North got worse since the start of the 2018 offseason. Each organization was well aware of their weak points and decided to attack them head-on.

Notably, the Minnesota Vikings entered the new year with three potential starting quarterbacks on the roster, but as of today all of them are on new teams and Kirk Cousins is the face of the franchise. The Chicago Bears may have found their next Brian Urlacher in Roquan Smith while the Detroit Lions hope rookie running back Kerryon Johnson is the answer they’ve been looking for.

The Green Bay Packers have arguably been the busiest of the four. They’ve completely reshaped their defense and the offense is ready to turn over a new leaf. Changes were imminent after the expectation of making the playoffs was not met in 2017, but now there’s plenty of optimism in Green Bay.

Pro Football Focus ranked the Packers as the most improved team back in early May. That’s hard to disagree with, however, did they come in first in Dairyland Express‘ NFC North offseason transaction rankings? Let’s see.
