5. Solidify everyone’s role.

One of the more underrated aspects of a successful team in any sport is role recognition. It’s imperative the stars know they’re stars, the role players know they’re role players and so on and so forth. When role players are trying to be stars or vice versa it can create a lot of confusion on the court and issues in the locker room.

Milwaukee needs to solidify their pecking order of scorers with Giannis Antetokounmpo at the very top and Khris Middleton right below him. After that, the team needs to discover for themselves whether Eric Bledsoe is the third scorer or if it’s Jabari Parker (if he’s back).

Too many times last year, especially down the stretches of close games, Antetokounmpo would be iced out and not receiving enough touches to satisfy his skill level. Some of that lies on the Greek Freak to insert himself more aggressively, as well as his teammates recognizing he needs the ball in his hands.

Having a clear pecking order can help eliminate some of the chaos the Bucks appeared to be in last season and allow them to play faster and worry about other aspects of the game.
