6 Packers on the Trade Block Heading Into Training Camp

1. Christian Watson, Wide Receiver
The wideout depth was already touched on, which is why more than one wideout makes this list. Now, to be clear, the Packers aren't trading both Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson. If they were to move one, the other would be staying put. And in all honesty, they might not be interested in moving any of them but instead, they could head into the 2024 season with four wideouts they trust — plus two tight ends who played well as rookies.
Having said that, general manager Brian Gutekunst isn't likely to hang up too quickly should someone call about Watson. Especially if they offer a fair price.
Watson was the 34th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of North Dakota State. The Packers used two picks in Round 1 on defensive players, adding Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt from Georgia. They then brought in Watson, who has the size (6-foot-4, 208 pounds) and speed (4.36 in the 40-yard dash) to be a difference maker.
As a rookie, he started slow but finished with 611 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games. Last year, he played in nine games and had 422 yards and five touchdowns on 28 receptions.
Watson has more potential than any other wideout on this roster and could develop into a solid WR1. The problem has been his durability. If the Packers aren't positive he can shake that, they could be willing to listen to offers. And someone who needs help at receiver might be willing to overpay for a 6-foot-4 wideout on a rookie deal.
