Packers: 3 Game Balls for Week 11 Victory Over Chargers
The Green Bay Packers are suddenly hot, having won two of their last three games. Their 23-20 victory in Week 11 over the Los Angeles Chargers was, perhaps, the best glimpse of the potential this team has.
Quarterback Jordan Love made several spectacular throws (more on him later) and the Packers’ young pass-catchers balled out. Rookies Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave each flashed at some point in the game. Second-year pros Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs also added touchdown receptions to build the hype around the young pass-catchers.
Green Bay’s defense, on the other hand, was less exciting. Despite holding the Chargers to just 20 points, Los Angeles was able to move the ball all over the field. It was a few timely red zone stops that propped up the Packers.
Focusing on the good, let’s hand out three game balls to Packers who played well on Sunday.
Let’s hand out some game balls to the Green Bay Packers in their back-and-forth Week 11 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Packers Game Balls: Rashan Gary
I felt like I needed to give one to the defense and Rashan Gary is that guy. He had been in a slump heading into the game, but showed signs of busting out. He finished with a couple of quarterback hits, one sack, and one timely fumble recovery inside the five-yard line. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious, as he gives his all on every play.
Packers Game Balls: Jayden Reed
The Packers made sure Jayden Reed was a heavy part of the game plan this week. We saw him get the balls several times on plays that were designed to take advantage of his speed and playmaking. He finished with three carries for 46 yards, including a 32-yard scamper down the right sideline, and four receptions for 46 yards. The Packers might have something with their second-round pick.
Packers Game Balls: Jordan Love
Although Love missed a couple of throws that could’ve taken his good day to a monster performance, he still showed signs of progress in Week 11. He finished by completing 67.5 percent of his passes (27-for-40) for 322 yards and two touchdowns. This is the progress fans were hoping to see from Love. Better late than never.
