Bucks Who Need to Step Up: MarJon Beauchamp

The echoes of Bucks’ fans calling for MarJon Beauchamp’s prominent role have persisted since his first-round selection in 2022. While he hasn’t yet demonstrated the ability to handle extended minutes, there’s a noticeable progression from his rookie year to his sophomore season.

Beauchamp is more engaged on both ends of the court. His three-point shot exhibits greater precision, his attacks on the basket are more assertive, and a newfound confidence permeates his ball-handling. Most importantly, he has embraced his role as a complementary figure in the team’s offensive scheme.

The Bucks are particularly keen on leveraging Beauchamp’s defensive prowess. While he may not boast elite lateral quickness, his lengthy wingspan becomes a disruptive force in passing lanes and against ball-handlers. As Milwaukee continues the quest for a lockdown perimeter defender, Beauchamp will have every opportunity to step into that role and solve the defensive puzzle for the team.
