The Green Bay Packers were on the verge of righting the ship and winning back-to-back games for the first time this season. However, they fell short once again, this time at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and lost 19 to 23.

The four-point loss marked Green Bay’s fourth one-score loss this season, proving winning is hard in the NFL. It was also the seventh straight game they failed to score more than 20 points, proving life after Aaron Rodgers is hard.

Despite falling to 3-6 on the season, some promising signs came from Green Bay’s Week 10 performance. Let’s check out five winners and losers from the Packers-Steelers game.

Here are five winners and losers from the Green Bay Packers Week 10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, including Jordan Love, Christian Watson and more.

Winner: Packers Explosive Plays

Green Bay’s offense was a lot more explosive in Week 10. Jordan Love threw for a career-high 289. That was helped thanks to a plethora of big passing plays: A 46-yarder to Jayden Reed, a 36-yard reception to Luke Musgrave, a 35-yard touchdown to Reed, another 28-yard completion to Musgrave, a 32-yarder to Dontayvion Wicks and another 20-yard reception by Romeo Doubs. Oh, and AJ Dillon had a 40-yard scamper thrown in there.

It’s great to see the explosiveness of a Packers’ offense that has lacked them this season. Their 19-point performance wasn’t because they couldn’t move the ball. It was due to the following factor.

Loser: Red Zone Offense

Green Bay had no issue getting into scoring position. They got inside the 20 on five different occasions but only scored one touchdown. Their other trips included two field goals and two Love interceptions. That has been a theme all season, as they now rank 27th in the NFL in red zone touchdown percentage.

Winner: Jayden Reed

Reed had the best game of his career, posting a career-high 84 receiving yards and one touchdown on five receptions. He also hauled in all five of his targets. Reed was aided by a 35-yard reception and a 35-yard touchdown. His separation ability was on full display and was a welcomed sight for an offense that has failed to move the ball in chunks this season.

Loser: Packers Run Defense

Steeler’s starting quarterback, Kenny Pickett, only threw for 126 yards, but it didn’t make a difference due to the Packers’ poor run defense. Jaylen Warren (15 carries for 101 yards) and Najee Harris (16 carries for 82 yards) led a Steelers rushing attack that racked up more than 200 yards on the ground. The Packers’ defensive line often looked lost and bullied on the line of scrimmage.

Loser: Jordan Love-Christian Watson Connection

Christian Watson was targeted a team-high seven times, but finished with only two receptions for 23 yards. Both of Love’s interceptions, including a tough one with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter where the defensive back slapped the pass away and right into his teammate’s hands, were when he was targeting Watson. After a breakout rookie season, the athletic wide receiver has been a complete disappointment in Year 2.
