Most Disappointing Packers: Jaire Alexander

With a great salary, comes great expectations. Or something like that. Jaire Alexander is one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL depending on the metric you use, but hasn’t come anywhere close to living up to the hype this season.

He missed some time early due to a back injury and that could be plaguing him still. At least, that would be a reasonable excuse as to why he’s looked slow, disinterested, and disengaged this season.

There have been times when Alexander has clearly lost interest in playing hard, competitive football. On the season, he’s allowed 19 receptions on 26 targets (a 73.1 percent completion percentage) for 247 yards and two touchdowns. He also has five missed tackles. The Packers need him to step up after the Rasul Douglas trade and play like his salary dictates.
