Packers Shouldn’t Get Too Excited

It’s great to celebrate the win, and it’s much needed. However, it’s also essential for the Packers to temper expectations and understand exactly what happened on Sunday.

The Rams were a mess. Missing starting quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams, their offense was unable to muster anything in the rain. There were plenty of times when the Packers were an incompetent mess as well, lining up offsides on two separate quarterback sneaks, for example.

It’s a good building block, but there is plenty of work for the Packers to do. They have to clean up the penalties that plague them week in and week out. As well as some of the mistakes by the younger players. Still, it’s great to finally get a win after five or so weeks of losing.
