Jaire Alexander

At the end of the day, the Packers need their best players to play well. That has been far from the case for Alexander this season.

Alexander gets paid like one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, but his play on the field hasn’t reflected it. Not even close. He looks like he’s just going through the motions on the field and collecting his game checks (to be fair, he’s dealing with a back injury that could be affecting his ability to play hard).

The Packers also need Alexander to step up in the locker room. Douglas’s departure leaves a gigantic leadership hole that someone will need to fill. Alexander has been in the league long enough that he’s been around some of the greatest leaders. It’s time to reflect those skills and qualities he’s learned from.
