Win the Line of Scrimmage

We’ve already talked about getting pressure on Cousins, and that’s undoubtedly part of winning the battle on the line of scrimmage. However, the Packers’ defensive linemen also need to establish themselves in the running game and not allow opposing offensive linemen to bully them. There have been far too many occasions where huge gaps open up because Clark, Wyatt, and TJ Slaton are obliterated off the snap.

It’s also essential for the Packers to dominate on the other side of the ball. Their running game has been horrible, partially, because of the common whiffs by the Packers’ offensive linemen. Far too often, they completely miss their block and allow guys to immediately penetrate the backfield. They need to do better by simply getting bodies on bodies.
