Bucks’ Third Quarter:

  • Bucks were playing drop defense on Embiid and he was killing them. He finished 3-for-7 from the three-point line.
  • Milwaukee’s response was to put Giannis on him. It worked a little.
  • However, Embiid drew a fourth foul on Giannis. Antetokounmpo gets too aggressive in those matchups, reaching for the ball and using his hands too much. He needs to rely on discipline and forcing the guys to take tough shots over him.
  • Antetokounmpo’s free throws were very flat. He rarely gave them a chance to go in.
  • Lillard’s ability to draw free throws without flopping is underrated. He went 17-for-17 from the line.
  • Kelly Oubre Jr. had a monster game. Once a year, he kills the Bucks:
    • March 2019: 27 points on 7-for-14 shooting
    • December 2021: 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting
    • December 2022: 20 points on 4-for-14 shooting
    • October 2023: 27 points on 9-for-11 shooting
  • Griffin went with an all-bench unit for the last two-ish minutes. They held their own.
