Brewers Dream Free Agents: Jeimer Candelario, 1B/3B

Candelario would give Milwaukee the flexibility they love from their positional players, as he can play either corner infield spot (although he mostly projects as a first baseman). He’s a solid hitter who would be an improvement over the Brewers’ current options, but someone who is best suited as a team’s 6th hitter.

Brewers Dream Free Agents: Rhys Hoskins, 1B

The Brewers may be able to get a discount on Hoskins, who missed the 2023 season due to a torn ACL. He’s a good hitter against right-handers and could star in a platoon for Milwaukee if he doesn’t accept his qualifying offer.

Brewers Dream Free Agents: Matt Chapman, 3B

Chapman is, by far, the biggest name on this list. He’s one of the best defensive third basemen in the MLB and could pique the Brewers’ interest based on that alone. However, he would also give them additional power despite his down 2023 season. In three of his last four seasons (not counting 2020), he hit at least 27 home runs. He’d be a nice get for the Brewers if they’re willing to open up their checkbook a little bit.
