The Green Bay Packers have been trying to get Luke Musgrave going all season long, but have been just out of sync with their rookie tight end. The good news is he looks poised to have a breakout season coming out of their bye week.

Musgrave is third on the team in targets with 23–trailing only Romeo Doubs (37) and Jayden Reed (27)–and second in receptions with 18. However, he has yet to catch a touchdown and only has five first downs on his receptions.

He’s been primarily used as a short yardage safety valve for Jordan Love, but Green Bay should look to change that coming out of the bye. They would benefit mightily from scheming him open across the middle and allowing him to use his speed up the field as a weapon for himself and his teammates.

Who will step up for the Packers after the bye week? Find out the top 5 breakout candidates and why they are poised to shine.

Musgrave’s athleticism is undeniable, and he’s been a better blocker than expected during his first five games. There are plenty of solid attributes to build upon, and now he needs the opportunity to do so.

With Musgrave primed to breakout, let’s check out four other Packers who could follow suit.
