Packers Who Could Be Traded: Rasul Douglas

Rasul Douglas is having the best season of his career and has been one of the best overall cornerbacks in the NFL this season. His PFF coverage grade ranks second among all cornerbacks who have been on the field for at least 100 passing plays. He also leads the NFL with five pass break-ups.

So why would the Packers trade him? Well, it’s best to deal a player when their stock is highest.

Douglas is under contract in 2024 for a very reasonable $11.6 million, but doesn’t exactly line up with the Packers’ long-term plans. At 28-years-old, he’s a few years older than the core Green Bay is trying to build around. The Packers also have a glutton at cornerback including Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine and Corey Ballentine. They have plenty of depth to make up for the loss of Douglas if they can move him for a high price.
