Packers Who Could Be Traded: Jon Runyan

Admittedly, this is the candidate that would make the least amount of sense for the Packers. Their offensive line was supposed to be a strength coming into the year, even with David Bakhtiari out for the season following Week 1. However, they haven’t lived up to the hype and are extremely thin at guard.

After this season, Runyan is an unrestricted free agent, and Green Bay could get a compensatory pick for allowing him to walk and sign with another team. However, that would limit their ability to sign a starter in his place. Runyan’s PFF grade has fallen for the third straight year, and he’s currently ranked as their 52nd overall guard (among 78 eligible candidates). If Green Bay isn’t going to re-sign him, they might as well explore a trade before the deadline.
