Packers’ Trade Candidate: D.J. Jones, Defensive Tackle, Denver Broncos

The Packers can’t figure out how to stop the run. They let Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry walk in free agency, replacing them by moving TJ Slaton and Devonte Wyatt up the depth chart and drafting Colby Wooden and Karl Brooks.

Slaton and Wyatt have had their moments, but have been riddled with inconsistency. Meanwhile, Wooden and Brooks have pass-rushing potential, but shouldn’t be on the field for running downs.

D.J. Jones could be the solution they’re looking for as a block-eating defensive lineman. He’s a big body up front that could plug some holes and finally start to slow down the opponent’s running attack.
