Packers Trade Deadline Preview: 5 Names to Keep an Eye On
Packers’ Trade Candidate: Michael Carter, Running Back, New York Jets
When it comes to the Packers running back situation, two things are clear: 1. They aren’t going to give Aaron Jones a full-time role, and 2. AJ Dillon is not the answer as the backup or predecessor to Jones. This should prompt Green Bay to find a better solution sooner rather than later.
Michael Carter is now third on the Jets’ running back depth chart behind Dalvin Cook and Breece Hall. That should make him available if the Packers give New York a call. Carter ran for over 600 yards and four touchdowns during his rookie season but hasn’t been given a real opportunity since. It might be worth seeing what he can do with an increased role with the Packers.
