Packers’ Positions Ranked: Who’s Hot and Who’s Not After Four Games
6. Cornerback
Rasul Douglas has been a standout through the first four games and is playing like a stud. The rest of the Packers’ cornerbacks, especially Jaire Alexander, must follow suit. Alexander had maybe the worst game of his career against the Falcons in Week 2 and then missed the next two games due to a back injury. When he returns, the Packers need him to play like he gets paid–at an elite level.
7. Outside Linebacker
Rashan Gary has been a one-man wrecking crew, racking up pressures and sacks like it’s his job (spoiler: it is!). However, he’s been on a pitch count, limiting his effectiveness, and the others haven’t stepped up. It’s been a slow start for Preston Smith, Kinglsey Enagbare and Lukas Van Ness.
8. Running Back
Aaron Jones was phenomenal in Week 1 before going down with a hamstring injury and missing the next two games. When he returned in Week 4, he was limited and Green Bay didn’t put him in a position to succeed. AJ Dillon has performed poorly in his absence and is having a career-worst year. He’s been awful this season and drags their rankings down.
