Point Guard Depth

The trade didn’t necessarily ignite this query, but it’s a lingering concern nonetheless – the Bucks find themselves without a backup point guard.

Only Lillard, Middleton, and Antetokounmpo boast significant ball-handling experience in the current roster landscape. While rookie second-rounder Andre Jackson Jr. presents an option, it’s a perilous proposition to hinge critical responsibilities on a first-year player, especially one who can’t shoot, potentially compromising the team’s spacing.

Given the vacancy on the roster, the most straightforward remedy would be the acquisition of Cameron Payne. As the best remaining free agent, Payne could promptly address Milwaukee’s pressing backup point guard predicament. Jon Horst, I’m begging you – seize this opportunity.
