Love’s Fourth Quarter

We’ve witnessed both brilliance and struggles from Jordan Love this season, and Sunday’s game against the Saints encapsulated the full spectrum of his performance.

One aspect that garnered praise from teammates during training camp was his unflappability. Regardless of the efforts made by Jaire Alexander, Rasul Douglas, and others to get inside his head, Love remained remarkably focused on the game, avoiding distractions.

This unwavering confidence was on display, particularly in the fourth quarter, where he completed 7 of 17 passes for 104 yards and two total touchdowns. It wasn’t always a picture-perfect display, but it showcased his ability to make plays when his initial reads were unavailable and when he needed to utilize his mobility. It was a commendable response from the new face of the franchise.
