Packers Notebook: Final Thoughts About Saints Game
Final Thoughts: Packers Defense
Jaire Alexander: Alexander is supposed to be a leader on this Packers’ defense, but his performance against the Falcons was unacceptable. He was going through the motions and not playing anywhere close to his potential. It was by far his worst game in the NFL. That’s unacceptable and can never happen again. How will he bounce back on Sunday?
Time to be Aggressive: If the Packers aren’t going to challenge wide receivers at the line of scrimmage against the Saints, then they never will. New Orleans loves to throw quick passes to Chris Olave and let him go to work. Michael Thomas struggles to create separation, and Green Bay shouldn’t give either receiver a free run off the line of scrimmage. I want to see Green Bay’s corners play physically and in the face of Olave and Thomas.
Run Game: The Saints are down to their third-string running back with Jamaal Williams going on the IR and Alvin Kamara still suspended. That’s good news for Green Bay’s running defense which was gashed last week. They need a bounce-back performance against an underwhelming unit in Week 3.
