Packers Pleasant Surprises: Quay Walker

The Packers were in dire need of significant improvement from some of their second-year players, and inside linebacker Quay Walker has risen to the occasion.

Walker, of course, made waves with his electrifying pick-six against the Chicago Bears, injecting a much-needed dose of playmaking into the defense. However, his prowess in coverage has been consistently impressive throughout the first two games, extending beyond that singular highlight.

Notably, Walker’s ability to read plays has seen marked improvement, enabling him to leverage his athleticism to make a considerable impact from sideline to sideline. After lingering questions following his rookie season, he appears to be the Packers’ long-term solution at middle linebacker.
