The Green Bay Packers took a chance on Brenton Cox Jr. following the 2023 NFL Draft, signing him as an undrafted free agent, and he’s already paid off that trust.

Cox would’ve been a surefire draft pick if off-the-field issues didn’t get him kicked off two major college programs. The former five-star prospect played his freshman year at Georgia and showed some tremendous long-term potential. However, he was dismissed from the team that summer and announced he was transferring to Florida.

After redshirting his sophomore year, he was a starter for the Gators to begin the season. Unfortunately, he had issues with the strength and conditioning staff and was kicked off the team by Halloween of his redshirt sophomore season.

After a couple of games into the NFL season, these five Green Bay Packers players, in particular, are the most intriguing.

After going undrafted due to his off-the-field issues, Green Bay took a chance on him and signed him to a contract. He subsequently balled out during the preseason and earned a spot on the 53-man roster. He’s been inactive for the first two games, mainly due to the tremendous depth the Packers have at outside linebacker ahead of him. However, the Packers like what they see, and he’s one injury away from working his way into the rotation.
