AJ Dillon Will Bounce Back From a Poor Performance

With Aaron Jones absent from Wednesday’s practice, it’s increasingly likely that AJ Dillon will be the featured back in the upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. However, this situation may present some challenges for the Packers.

In the recent game against the Bears, Dillon had 13 rushing attempts but managed just 19 yards. While some of this can be attributed to issues with blocking, it’s evident that he lacks the explosive burst Jones brings to the table. In fact, it appears that Dillon may have even regressed since entering the NFL.

Dillon’s yards per rushing attempt have steadily declined over his career, going from 5.3 in his rookie season to 4.3 and then 4.1 last year. As he’s in the final year of his rookie contract, this is a critical moment for him to demonstrate his value. Unfortunately, there may be some skepticism regarding his ability to rise to the occasion at this point.
