The Packers Lack Discipline

The Bears came into Week 1 with a lot of bravado, making bold statements about the Packers and their fan base on multiple occasions. While the Packers appeared to be taking the high road in the media, there’s no doubt they were aware of Chicago’s chatter.

However, the Packers seemed to struggle to maintain their composure when it came to the actual game. They ended the game with a whopping nine penalties, ranking fifth in the NFL for most penalties in Week 1. To make matters worse, some of these infractions were personal fouls, occurring shortly after Green Bay had recovered a fumble by Fields and had a prime opportunity to seal the game.

Despite having a relatively young team, the Packers can fully clean up this area. Under LaFleur’s guidance, they have consistently played disciplined, penalty-free football. Throughout his tenure, they never ranked lower than 11th in terms of penalties per game. LaFleur will likely use this as a learning experience for his younger players, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline on the field.

Verdict: Fiction
