The Chicago Bears talked a lot of trash heading into their Week 1 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. It turns out the Packers were perfectly fine letting their play do the talking.

Green Bay beat down their NFC North division rivals 38-20 in a game that wasn’t even as close as the final score indicated. It turns out the Packers’ demise was greatly exaggerated.

The Packers received a lot of attention over the offseason for moving on from Aaron Rodgers and turning the keys over to Jordan Love. Love wasn’t perfect in his first game, completing 15 of 27 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns, but he showed moxy that he’s quickly becoming known for.

Check out all the exciting highlights from the Green Bay Packers’ Week 1 beatdown over their NFC North division rival, the Chicago Bears.

Aaron Jones was the Packers’ offensive star. He racked up 41 yards on just nine carries, but had two receptions for 86 yards and two total touchdowns. He pulled up lame on a 35-yard touchdown reception with 6:26 remaining in the third quarter and didn’t return to the game. He seemed to be in good spirits while on the sideline, so we’ll have to keep an eye on him this week.

The defense also came to play. They gave Justin Fields everything he wanted underneath, but wouldn’t let receivers get behind them. The defensive line continues their strong play, showing they may have truly turned a corner this season.

They also forced two turnovers–a Fields fumble and a pick-six by Quay Walker. Walker showed off some nifty moves, but was leveled when crossing the goalline and didn’t return to the game, as he was being evaluated for a concussion.

Overall, it was a great Week 1 performance for the green and gold, as they moved to 1-0 on the season.

Check out these highlights from the game as the Packers dominated the Bears yet again. They’ve won nine straight games against Chicago, the second-longest streak in the rivalry’s history.
