Packers on Thin Ice: Matt LaFleur
It’s probably unfair to say head coach Matt LaFleur is on the hot seat following three straight 13-win seasons to begin his coaching career and an overall record of 47-19 ( a .712 win percentage) after four years at the helm. It’s probably more appropriate to say he’s one season away from being on thin ice.
With Aaron Rodgers gone, we’ll learn much more about LaFleur’s prowess as a head coach. He never garnered a lot of momentum for coach of the year due to Rodgers’ presence at the game’s most important position. How will they transition with Jordan Love as the first-year starter?
If the Packers struggle mightily this season, especially on offense, LaFleur could feel his seat warming up for the 2024 season. Life moves fast in the NFL, especially for a franchise that isn’t used to losing.
