Packers With Highest Ceilings: Jaire Alexander

Jaire Alexander’s resume is already impressive, with two Pro Bowl selections and a recent ranking as the NFL’s 26th best player. However, there’s a lingering sense that he has yet to unleash his full potential.

In 2022, Alexander made a triumphant return from a injury-marred 2021 season, reaffirming his status as one of the league’s premier cornerbacks. Now, with another year of healing under his belt and still just 26 years old, there’s every reason to believe he could ascend to the coveted title of the NFL’s best cornerback.

What sets Alexander apart is his unyielding fearlessness. Despite not possessing the imposing physical dimensions of some of his peers, he fearlessly engages with opposing receivers. His exceptional speed and physicality compensate for his size, enabling him to challenge receivers at every juncture of the field. Beyond his coverage skills, Alexander also contributes significantly to run defense from the outside. In conjunction with the Packers’ formidable pass rush, which appears more menacing than ever, there’s ample reason to anticipate another monumental season from him.
