Packers 53-Man Roster Projection Entering Final Preseason Game
Cornerback (4): Jaire Alexander, Rasul Douglas, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine
Cut: Corey Ballentine, Kiondre Thomas, Shemar Jean-Charles, William Hooper, Tyrell Ford
PUP: Eric Stokes
I stole this idea from The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman and it’s a good one. The Packers would get reinforcements in Stokes (hopefully) around Week 6 when he returns from the PUP, improving their cornerback depth tremendously.
In the meantime, they can slide Corey Ballentine and either Kiondre Thomas or Shemar Jean-Charles onto their practice squad and use up their activations during the early part of the season. That would protect them from any potential injuries. It’s early, but the top four seem more than capable of handling a full workload.
