Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Jonathan Ford (99) is shown during organized team activities Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in Green Bay, Wis. /

Defensive line (6): Kenny Clark, Devonte Wyatt, T.J. Slaton, Karl Brooks, Colby Wooden, Jonathan Ford

Cut: Chris Slayton, Antonio Moultrie, Jason Lewan

Only keeping two quarterbacks, two running backs, and three tight ends allows the Packers to keep an extra defensive lineman in Jonathan Ford.

Ford has been excellent for Green Bay and deserves a spot at an uncertain position. Clark has been great for years, but the rest of the line is entirely unproven. Slaton has already overtaken Wyatt as the starter alongside Clark, a demoralizing sign for the 2022 first-rounder. Brooks and Wooden are unproven rookies, so having an additional player at the position isn’t the worst thing.
