Safety (6): Darnell Savage Jr., Jonathan Owens, Tarvarius Moore, Rudy Ford, Dallin Leavitt, Anthony Johnson Jr.

Cut: Innis Gaines, Benny Sapp III

With only four cornerbacks on the roster, Green Bay is able to sneak an extra secondary member in at safety.

Savage has been the unquestioned starter at one of the safety positions, holding that spot despite an inconsistent past. The other starter has rotated between Owens, Moore and Ford, and we are no closer to solving that puzzle.

Leavitt is a major special teams player and is unlikely to be let go. That brings us to the rookie–Johnson Jr. He’s shown enough promise to keep him around for a year and see how he develops. The Packers don’t have any long-term solutions at the position and will have to address it significantly next season. They might as well keep the seventh-rounder around to see what they have in him.
