Packers That Can Lock Up Roster Spots: Brenton Cox Jr.

It’s been a heck of a ride for Brenton Cox Jr. He was dismissed from two major college programs, killing any chance he had at being drafted this year. He then signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent and has begun to turn heads.

The physical talent is clear with Cox–it’s the mental aspect Green Bay must be aware of. Can they trust him to represent himself and the team in a positive manner in the future? That remains to be seen.

For now, the Packers have five outside linebackers ahead of him in Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Kingsley Enagbare, Justin Hollins and Lukas Van Ness. However, with another strong preseason performance, he could force them to keep six, as you can never have enough pass-rushers.
