Packers Who Could Play Multiple Positions: Rasul Douglas

Rasul Douglas finds himself in a unique position as he gears up for the upcoming season with the Packers. Known primarily as a cornerback, Douglas could showcase his adaptability during training camp, and recently hinted at a potential dual role as both a safety and a cornerback for the team.

Douglas’ physical attributes and football IQ make him a compelling candidate to move to safety. At 6’2″ with a strong build, he possesses the size and strength to excel in the safety position, providing crucial support against the run and contributing to deep coverage. Simultaneously, his experience and coverage skills as a cornerback enable him to lock down receivers.

Defensive coordinator Joe Barry has evidently taken notice of Douglas’ versatility, and should experiment with him in different roles during practice. Moving him to safety would open up playing time for the impressive seventh-round rookie Carrington Valentine.
