Jonathan Ford has been performing well along the defensive line in training camp, just like his teammates. But the challenge for Ford is the strong competition within his position group.

The Packers already have five roster locks on the line: Kenny Clark, Devonte Wyatt, TJ Slaton, Karl Brooks, and Colby Wooden. This group has been playing impressively and gives the Packers confidence in their defensive line.

Ford has been keeping up with them, but the question is whether the Packers really need a sixth defensive lineman. They might want to use that roster spot for another position, like outside linebacker where they could keep Brenton Cox Jr., who has a lot of potential. It’s a tough situation because Ford has played well and deserves a spot on a roster somewhere.
