Carrington Valentine

It might be safe to say Carrington Valentine has already emerged as a surprise in Green Bay. He had a strong showing in Organized Team Activities and minicamp, and has only gotten stronger as training camp has progressed.

The Packers are suddenly loaded at cornerback, with Rasul Douglas, Jaire Alexander and Keisean Nixon holding down the starting spots and 2021 first-rounder Eric Stokes waiting to return from injury. Throw Valentine’s name on that list, as he’s done nothing but impress at every turn.

The most difficult part for the Packers will be getting Valentine on the field. He’s already fourth on the depth chart, but will likely fall to fifth when Stokes return. With a glaring hole at safety, Green Bay needs to find a way to get their best players on the field.
