4 Packers Boosting Roster Chances After First Preseason Game
Malik Heath
Malik Heath began to turn heads in OTAs and minicamp, and continued his strong push with a terrific game against the Bengals. He had three receptions for 36 yards, showcasing an ability to create separation from defensive backs despite the lack of elite physical tools.
What was most notable, however, was his blocking ability. At one point, he blocked his man so far off the field and into the sidelines, that the opponent retaliated in the bench area and was flagged. That’s the type of physicality that will gain him playing time, as Green Bay values run-blocking ability in their wide receivers.
