Seth Brown’s stats are not eye-popping, but he still has a couple of years of team control.

The Oakland Athletics have been in sell mode since the last offseason. Brown is rumored to be available. He can play the outfield and first base. Plus, he hits from the left side.

Brown hit 45 home runs between 2021 and 2022. He has only hit nine dingers this year, but Seth has been battling injuries.

His slash line is currently .198/.276/.389 and he is a .2 bWAR player. His wRC+ is at 88.

Although, his career slugging percentage is .444 and career OPS is .738 along with a career wRC+ of 108. Brown also hits the ball hard with a 48.6% hard-hit percentage this year.

He is hitting .031 against left-handers, but his slash line against right-handers is .237/.304/.474.

Even though he is 31, Brown is still under team control for three more seasons.

Joey Meneses will provide production as a designated hitter.

The Washington Nationals are going nowhere this season. Arnold should see if he can get Meneses.

He finally made it to the Majors last season at 30.

Meneses does not have a ton of power as he has hit just six homers this season. He has a respectable slash line of .282/.323/.401.

He did hit four home runs in three days before the All-Star break.

He can also play first base and the outfield.

His wRC+ is 96, but Fangraphs projects he will finish above league average.

Meneses splits are really good. He is hitting .286 with a .756 OPS against lefties and .281 and .709 against righties.

He has a great hard-hit percentage. Plus, he is still under team control for a lot of years.

Mark Canha is a veteran option for the outfield.

The New York Mets have disappointed this season despite a massive payroll. So they will probably sell before the deadline. Canha is a player that the Mets might want to get off their books.

Canha has a .740 OPS with a wRC+ of 111 this year.

He can play both corner outfield positions, first base, and some third base.

He is a 1.1 bWAR player this year. He is hitting .278 this month. Canha would not be a flashy addition especially since he is 34. He does have a $11.5 million team option for next season, so he can be a relatively affordable first base option next season if Rowdy Tellez’ season struggles continue when he returns.
